Now that both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are government backed, the investors are back! 
That means that interest rates will drop. Rates have already dropped today to below 6% and from what several lenders are telling me, by tomorrow the rates will be around 5.75%!!! That is a full per cent less than they were just a couple of weeks ago. What a great opportunity to buy or refinance.
This combined with the Buyers market we are currently in makes it a true BONANZA for anyone looking to buy. Prices are down and so are interest rates! What more could a Buyer want?!
I predict there will be a VERY short window in which to take advantage of these two great opportunities at the same time. If Buying increases (as it had already started to do), inventories will be reduced, firming up prices. And no one I have spoken to has a handle on how long these exceptional interest rates will be around.
