Lake of the Ozarks Homes Closed in September

In September 2008 there were 98 homes closed in the Bagnell Dam Board of Realtors

The Average price was $252,215 and the average Days on the Market was 121.

How does that compare with 2007. Well good and bad.

In September of 2007 there were 152 homes sold. The Bad News

The Average price was $260,480. Down $8,000 or 3.2% Not Terrible

The Days On the Market were 131. 10 Days LONGER than this year. The Good News

Homes are still selling at Lake of the Ozarks. Our market has not been hit with the dramatic price reductions that the media portrays as being epidemic. Our area is growing and will continue to grow for many years to come. We have new highways going in, multiple large shopping centers under construction, and nearly a whole new city of Lake Ozark being built with the extension and expansion of Horseshoe Bend Parkway to Hwy 54.

I am a believer and follower of Warren Buffett, "When everyone else is selling, BUY!" There couldn't be a better time to buy at Lake of the Ozarks than now. Prices are down slightly, interest rates are low, though headed higher and sellers are listening to the same news you hear and are nervous. You may not get a great deal on your first offer, but there are deals out there to be found.
